THIS WEEK’S ANNOUNCEMENTS

Thank you to all who have kept their tithe to the church during these unprecedented times. It is because of your unbroken commitment we have been able to continue our support to our chosen charities in the community.

Christian Education continues with Fr. Rogers and his commentary on the Books of the Bible every Sunday @ 9:30AM.

Stations of the Cross start this Wednesday at 6PM and will be on FB Live.  A meal and study will follow in the parish hall.  We will be looking at Ray Vander Lan’s “Path to the Cross” lead by Jill Penney. This study is open to everyone who is interested. If you’d like to join by ZOOM let Fr. Munson know.

The next Bishop’s Committee Meeting will be March 14th, immediately following coffee hour.

Ashley’s School Box Project has immediate needs for disinfectant wipes and kleenex tissue.

Grace Ministriest continues to need our assistance during this time. Food donations may be left in the parish hall for delivery to Grace Ministries. As always, monetary donations are welcomed.

Divine Stitches is a sewing ministry of St. John the Divine. We have provided prayer blankets, quilts and pillowcases for First Responders in the Burkburnett area for several years and on occasion Patsty’s House. If there is anyone else who is interested in being a part of this ministry, please see Susan Morris with suggestions of days and times of availability.

Worship During the COVID-19 Pandemic – We at St. John care about the safety, health and well-being of all its parishioners and visitors. We want you to feel comfortable during worship. Here are the precautions we are taking to help keep everyone safe and healthy

  • Face masks are available at each entrance to the church and the parish hall should you need one, however, they are not required.

  • Hand sanitizer is located at all entrances including the parish hall for your convenience.

  • All surfaces are disinfected after each service and event.

  • Communion is offered at every mass. All who wish to receive communion will come forward in a single line. You may choose to receive in one-kind or, both, the Body & Blood of Christ..

    • For those who wish to worship outside, or in their vehicle and are following the service on our Facebook feed, communion can be brought out to you, should you desire.

    • If you wish to stay home and want to receive communion, please contact either Fr. Munson or Fr. Rogers and they will arrange to come to your home.

  • Social Distancing can be a challenge in a small church such as St. John therefore, St. John relies on the judgement of each person or family to use common sense to distance yourself from others.

  • Offertory plates will not be passed around. Tithes and donations may be dropped into the Offertory plate located at the back of the church next to the organ. Another option is to donate to the church through our online giving.

  • The Peace will not be passed until it is safe to do so in the future.

  • Online viewing of the mass is offered through our Facebook Live.

What can you do to help keep yourself and others healthy?

  • Wash you hands frequently with soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds. (Singing the Birthday song or the Alphabet song are a good measure of time.)

  • For those who are at a higher risk, we ask that you remain home and view the mass online. Should you wish, contact Fr. Munson or Fr. Rogers to arrange a time to bring communion to you.

  • If you or someone in your family has a fever or are feeling unwell we ask you that you please stay home.

  • Cover your mouth with a tissue or the inside of your elbow when coughing or sneezing.

All Covid-19 policy changes for the church will be announced in our Sunday Bulletin, our website or through a church email.
